Visit the Veddhas of Ceylon
The Vedda (pronouncedˈvædːaː)are a minority indigenous group in Sri Lanka. It is believed that they were probably the earliest inhabitants of Sri Lanka. They at present speak mainly Sinhalese; a sign of their indigenous language going extinct. They mainly live in the Ratnapura District part of Sabaragamuwa province.
